As a Franklin Fellow, Frederick W. Marrazzo works in the Bureau of International Information Programs, Office of East Asia-Pacific Affairs. He will work as a Policy Analyst on issues affecting new media and public diplomacy toward China. Marrazzo comes to the State Department from the San Francisco Bay Area, where he produced his own public access television program. In 2006 he produced and directed a small documentary video called "Forgotten Voices: Italian Americans in the Santa Clara Valley," which included interviews with local Italian Americans describing their experience and memories of growing up in the Santa Clara Valley. In 2007, Frederick completed a book project on the local Italian community in the Santa Clara Valley.

Frederick W. Marrazzo majored in East Asian Languages and Literature at the University of Maryland and received his MBA degree at the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
