I was excited to get an e-mail from the State Department inviting me to a "networking event" at a local hotel here in Denver. Aside from being a bit awkwardly worded I haven't found the even on the Dept of State website (the only events that I have found are in the Arizona area). Can anyone confirm the email I received is legit or not?
Thanks in advance.

U.S. Department of State
Diversity Career Networking Event
June 6, 2012 • 5:30pm - 7:30pm
My background in archaeology isn’t the typical start to a career with the U.S. Department of State, but it has served me well throughout my work in public service. What’s more, my cultural perspective as a member of the PeeDee Indian Nation has allowed me to have such amazing experiences that I never thought possible—all while positively affecting American foreign policy abroad.
I invite U.S. citizens to learn how to serve our country. Begin by attending our Diversity Career Networking Event. Come listen to and speak with experienced Foreign Service Officers, Foreign Service Specialists, and Civil Service Professionals about careers with the U.S. Department of State. They will explain and discuss the important work you could do to represent our country while living and working internationally.

Interlocken Ballrooms C and D
500 Interlocken Boulevard

No worries, Clifton. While it is wise to be wary of phishing in these days, this is a genuine event organized by State Department recruiters. Hope you can make it and find it worthwhile.
