Has a temporary Diplomat in Residence been assigned for the Northwest region? The map still directs us to the former DIR and her automated email reply says someone from DC will be covering until August. It would be very helpful to know who this person is so that we can contact him or her.

Ambassador Steve Browning will be the Diplomat in Residence for that part of the country, based out of UC-Berkeley. As he will not be in place until later in the summer, messages sent via the e-mail link on the Diplomats in Residence page (http://careers.state.gov/engage/dir.html) will be answered by others from the recruiting staff.

Thank you. I look forward to working with Ambassador Browning. I have twice tried to reach someone by sending a message via the email link on the Diplomats in Residence page. In both cases I received the auto response pasted below. I am a member of a study group preparing for the OA with July through October dates, so it would be helpful for some of our members to be get a few specific questions answered before Ambassador Browning arrives. Is there another way to reach someone in the careers office? Is it possible that someone is checking Brooks Anne Robinson's email and we will get responses at some point in the future?
I am no longer the Diplomat in Residence for the Pacific Northwest and
am no longer answering this emailbox. If you are newly interested in
the Foreign Service, please explore our website, careers.state.gov,
which is full of information about careers and internships with the
State Department. Look under "events" in the "engage" section to see
when and where all our Diplomats in Residence will be holding
information sessions.
The next Diplomat in Residence will arrive in August, and a colleague
based in Washington, DC will cover the portfolio over the summer. To
reach them, go to careers.state.gov, click on engage, then Diplomats
in Residence. A map will appear that will link you to their contact
info.
