Re: Health Care for CA's in BrazilThe Consular Adjudicators assigned to Brazil are covered by the State Department's medical program. In practice, this means that their primary health care provider would be the Embassy or Consulate Medical Units or providers. If treatment beyond the capability of a medical unit is required, it would be coordinated by those same units. The Embassy/Consulates generally use private hospitals and doctors but there could be cicumstances where you receivd treatment at a public facility. You would use your private medical insurance to cover any charges in Brazil not covered by the Embassy and for care in the U.S. if you needed treatment back here.
If hired, you'll receive complete information on the Department's medical program.
