Are they still scheduling OAs for applicants that passed the telephone test for Portuguese? I passed the test in May but have yet to be contacted about OA dates.

I'm in the same boat. I figure there is just a lot going on and it is just taking a while to organize all the scheduling.

We are still scheduling those Oral Assessments, as we do not have an unlimited number of assessors. The scheduler will be in touch.

Hello,

I received my invitation today for a day that I cannot attend. The form asks for another date to reschedule. Do you know if we can give one specific date or if we should provide a range of dates? Also - do you know the latest date that we could suggest for a Portuguese CA oral assessment?

Just be in touch with the scheduler and indicate five dates that work for you. If those are not available, you'll be offered a date close to the dates you provide. We're scheduling for August and September now, and it's possible that Oral Assessments will continue on into October.

Thank you for your response. One big question about timing: will individuals who pass the OA in September be too late to enter a registry for FY2013? I know it is impossible to say, but do you anticipate more than one training class in FY2013?

If you pass the OA in September, and your 2 hour in-person language interview, you will be asked to complete your medical, and security forms necessary for all your clearances. Beyond that time to submit, MED and DS can take months to issue a clearance, although they strive for under 60 days. In a standard timeline, you could expect to be on the Register during FY 2013. Since we do not have a budget, we do not know how many CA/LNA classes we will have.
