For those of you who are eligible to apply during this upcoming vacancy announcement, you are strongly urged to print out the announcement and within that vacancy announcement pay particular attention to the "How to Apply" instructions.

Thanks. Furthermore, for students that are on the Student Career Experience Program (SCEP), do they have to apply the same way anyone else that applies to the SA announcement? Students that are on SCEP, are they giving more consideration in the hiring processes if they meet the minimum qualifications based on the SA announcement?

Yes, students who are participating in the Student Career Experience Program (SCEP) would need to apply the same way as other applicants for the SA position, or any other Foreign Service position. The experiences gained with the SCEP program would only be one factor out of many.

Are you still eligible to apply if you are already on the Special Agent Register? There is a chance that I may time out, and would like to apply again if possible.

You can certainly reapply during this next open vacancy announcement even though you are on the register.

Dear Mr. Guest: If you are talking about when there might be another potential date for the opening of a vacancy announcement after the March 2012 announcement opens I can honestly say we do not have a clue at this very early point in time.
