First, I apologize if this has been answered on some other forum.
My spouse has a kidney disease which currently requires semi-annual visits to a specialist for nothing more than a checkup. During our military career, we qualified for the Exceptional Family Member Program and were subsequently disqualified for certain duty stations. Can I assume that State has a similar program?
If this is the case, can you direct me to where I may research assignment policies and/or disqualifiers for particular posts?
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hello, William,
Thank you for your posting.
Spouses of Foreign Service employees must have a medical clearance to join the employee at post. If your spouse will be limited as to where she can accompany you, she may or may not be able to travel with you depending on your post of assignment. Any disqualifiers for specific posts will be determined by the Office of Medical Services prior to or at the time an assignment for you finalized. The decision will be based on your wife's specific medical condition/needs, as well as the medical care available at the posts. This cannot be determined in advance, I'm afraid.
