I have been to the State's site specific to IMS that gives a somewhat vague career path that is available for a FSS in IMS. Can any veteran IMS folks comment on what career opportunities there are within IMS with examples of specific positions/titles.
Thanks!
Thanks!

In the Foreign Service, an entry level IMS is administratively promoted until they reach the FS-04 level. At that point, they compete with their peers for each higher grade until they leave the Foreign Service.
As an IMS, one can serve as a regular IMS, an Information Management Officer (normally the senior IMS at Post), and Information Systems Officer, or an IT Manager (can also be the senior IMS at Post).
