If the job that was advertised via the US Embassy allows for a Non Ordinary and Ordinary Resident and the applicant holds US and citizenship of that country, are they offered FSN or FP pay? What HR guidelines/regulations administer this situation.

Also, if the person is a US veteran, does this give it weight that they are allowed hire under FP versus FSN? Any help with this is appreciated.

I have just applied and am awaiting the US EMbassy HR department to contact me as I have "heard" I have been selected. Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks.

You will need to ask the embassy HR office. The answer depends on how the job was advertised, how you were hired, how you acquired the legal permission to work in the country, the host-country labor laws, and the embassy's HR policies and budget. Veterans' preference points would apply but not necessarily affect in which pay scale the position is.

It was advertised as both FP and FSN. I am US Born and raised but received the host country citizenship later on while living and studying in my mother's original country of origin.

As I said, you will have to consult the embassy's HR office. There may be factors that neither you nor I know about which will affect the decision.
