I am an US citizen currently employed as an FSN at the US Embassy in Lima. I would like to start a career as a Foreign Civil Servant, Adm. track. What steps should I take in order to accomplish this goal?

Just to clarify, are you interested in becoming a Department of State Foreign Service Officer (FSO) in the Management career track? If so, the first thing you will want to do is register for the Foreign Service Officer Test (FSOT) The next FSOT will take place in June. By "Foreign Civil Servant in the Admin track" do you mean Foreign Service Officer in the Management career track?
If so, the first step is to register for and take the Foreign Service Officer Test. The next testing window will take place in February 2013. You can find information on how to register for the test, and info on all the steps in the selection process, at our website.
