Hello,

1.)I was born and raise in the Philipines, Now I am a citizen of this country. Did that disqualify my qualification to be assign in my previous country?I still have family's in the Philippines that living in there and if I become FSO what is my chances to be assign there?
2.)I already apply and submit my application online one of the question did you register in the selective service? I said no, but I did try to register when I was 26, I have a letter from the selective service office that can prove that I did try to register? It was one month before I turn 25 when I came to the United States But I did'nt know that I need to register until I apply for the postt office job then they tell me that I need to register, but at that time, I was 26 already and the selective service agency send me a letter that I was not qualify to register and they said if you denied a job for federal you can show this evidence of letter and can appeal if you were denied. Is this part of the background check? Do I need to submit an evidence before they do the background check?
3.)What is the most popular job in FSO?
Thank you so much for your time hope to hear you soon.

Hello, Winston,

Whether or not you can be assigned to the Philippines at any point in your Foreign Service career cannot be determined in advance. That is something that will be looked at as part of the assignment process at the time.

The issue of not registering for the selective service will be something you will need to discuss with the background investigator should your application reach the stage where you pass the Oral Assessment.

There is strong interest in all of our Foreign Service Officer career tracks. Hopefully, you chose a career track that you feel will suit you well, and where you think you will succeed.

Good luck to you!
