I am a very active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  As an aspect of my sabbath day worship, if at all possible I do not work/attend events on Sundays and I attend church weekly.  I do not drink alcohol.

Would this be problematic for me working as a Foreign Service Officer?  Are Sundays an absolute working necessity at an embassy?  If the ox is in the mire, as they say, exceptions can be made in good conscience, but if it would be a regular occurence, this could be a deal-breaker for me.  Also, would my abstinence from alcohol become an issue if I were to, say, be attending public events as a public diplomacy career track officer?  Thank you. Smile
