1) I did my internship in the Navy, served as a Navy GMO for 3 years and I have been board certified in Family Practice since 2000 but did not complete a residency. In 2000 you were still eligible to sit for osteopathic family medicine boards if you had at least 6 years of general practice experience and completed at least 600 hours of CMEs. So being board certified in Family Medicine but without a completed residency am I eligible for a medical officer position at this time?
2) Does an ACGME Preventive Medicine/Public Health residency fulfill your residency requirement?
3) If I wanted to do an rotation and/or research project dealing with Preventive Medicine/Public Health and the FS who would I contact?
Thanks for your help and time.
