Hello, I am pretty confused as to how to apply for an internship in the state dept. I read the student internship brochure and it said that I should apply through the "gateway to state." I can't find the link for this. Also, is the Pathways Internship program taking over the other state dept. internship programs? That is, should I apply through the Pathways program and not the Gateway to State? If the Pathways program is being transitioned into, does this mean that I should disregard the July 1st deadline for Spring internship applications, as it says in the Student internship brochure?

I think you have to apply through www.usajobs.gov in order to apply for the internship with them.

To find the link to Gateway to State:
Please click here:
http://careers.state.gov/students/programs2
then click on "student internships"
You will then find info on student internships and the link to Gateway.
For your other questions, please send an email to careers@state.gov and I will forward to the Student Programs Branch for direct reply.
