The Student Programs Branch advised today that email notifications to those selected/not selected for the 2012 Summer Clerical Program will likely be sent out in early March.

Why can't they just set a date and stick with it? It makes a lot more sense than using generalities and changing the timeframe when we'll know of our status.

Things do change. While the Student Programs Branch anticipated getting notifications out by the end of February, there are factors which necessitate a later notification. While we would like to "set a date and stick with it," the requirements of the administration of the program sometimes require a delay. Please be assured that the Student Programs Branch is working to get the process completed as soon as possible. My intent in advising applicants of the slight delay was to provide the latest information.

It should not. The delay in notifications will just be a matter of a few days.

Sorry, we cannot speculate. The Student Programs Branch is hoping to get notifications out as early in March as possible -- maybe during the first week of March. Can't say for sure, though.
